Full video of the epic Nine Emperor Gods Send-Off Ceremony by Leong Nam Temple at the East Coast Beach, Singapore. 龍南殿恭送九位九皇帝君. This Taoist Festival is also known as the Kew Ong Yah or Jiu Wang Ye (九王爷) Festival.
The ceremony began with prayers, followed by night radio-controlled kites, awesome fireworks, cracking whips, lion and dragon dances at Leong Nam Temple at Jalan Kayu.
Nine sedan chairs carrying the sacred urns are rocked forcefully by the bearers signifying the presence of the divine forces. The ceremony ended with a grand send off at the East Coast Beach with the nine Gods ascending to the heavens on nine burning dragon boats.
