Jiankou to Mutianyu Great Wall - Hiking in Autumn

Jiankou Great Wall is also called the "Wild" Great Wall as it is completely unrestored. Shrubs and trees grow on it at many places. Some sections are dangerous and steep with loose and broken bricks. The scenery here is absolutely beautiful and is the most photographed.
We spent 2 days here. The 1st day was spent attempting to climb Arrow Notch and recce Sky Stairs and Eagles Fly Facing Upwards. Our attempts failed as we were not physically fit enough. The 2nd day was spent hiking from Jiankou to Mutianyu Great Wall. We lost 3 precious hours before we even reached the wall as we took a wrong turn near the start point. This journey is 10 kilometres of hilly terrain. We reached the entrance of Mutianyu at 8pm under the moonlight.
