Beginning of the year, I started writing a song for fun, thinking "good luck" isn't the only thing I'll need in the New Year. Once I was done with it, I realized... It's the perfect song to release around the Lunar New Year. The thing is, all the band members were on vacation for the month of January. It was the first time we recorded without getting together and playing as a band. Yangpyung sent his recording file from Japan. Then I came across the idea, I should just release the song as an album, with 3 different versions remixed by my usual favorites DJ Soulscape and Yun Seokcheol. Both had a blast working with the song. That's how this album came about. It's my New Year's gift to everyone. Happy New Year, folks. Of course, "good luck" might just cut it, really. – Kiha

年の初めにふと‘新年明けまして...だけではだめ！’という文句が頭に浮かんで遊び半分で歌を作ってみました。完成させておいて‘あれ...？これって(旧)お正月ごろにリリースしたらピッタリだな’と思いました。ところが、1月はバンドの休暇期間だったので、みんなあちこちにバラバラの状況でした。初めて合奏なしに録音をしました。陽平さんは、日本から録音したファイルを送ってくれました。普段好きだった‘DJ Soulscape’と‘ユン・ソクチョル’さんにリミックスを頼んで3つのバージョンを収録したシングルアルバムを作ろうという意見も出ました。二人とも面白いそうだと楽しく作業してくれました。こうして出来上がったアルバムです。お正月の贈り物です。皆さん新年、明けましておめでとうございます。実はそれだけでも十分かもしれません。-チャン•ギハ
정초에 문득 "새해 복...만으로는 안 돼!"라는 말이 떠올라서 재미삼아 노래를 만들기 시작했습니다. 만들어놓고 보니 "어...? 이거 설날 즈음에 그냥 내야겠는데?"라는 생각이 들더라고요. 그런데 1월은 밴드 휴가 기간으로 정해 놓았어서 다들 뿔뿔이 흩어져 있는 상황이었어요. 처음으로 합주 한번 없이 녹음을 했어요. 양평이형은 일본에서 녹음한 파일을 보내주기도 했죠. 평소에 좋아했던 디제이소울스케이프와 윤석철 씨에게 리믹스를 부탁해 세 버전을 같이 담은 싱글음반을 만들자는 의견도 나왔어요. 두 분 모두 재밌겠다며 신나게 작업을 해 주었고요. 그렇게 해서 완성된 음반입니다. 설 선물이에요. 여러분 새해 복 많이 받으세요. 사실 복만으로 될 수도 있어요. – 장기하
