Giovanni "Nino" Rota (3 December 1911 – 10 April 1979) was an Italian composer, pianist, conductor and academic who is best known for his film scores, notably for the films of Federico Fellini and Luchino Visconti. He also composed the music for two of Franco Zeffirelli's Shakespeare films, and for the first two films of Francis Ford Coppola's Godfather trilogy, receiving the Academy Award for Best Original Score for The Godfather Part II (1974).

The Duo Piccolol-Stoppiello debut in Rome in April 2015, at the Academic Hall of the "Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music". He got the first prize at the 6th Competition "Eratai" of San Giovanni Rotondo and the 4th International agree "garganum" Vico del Gargano. It is also a result of the ten finalists chamber groups in Cagliari for the "Abbado Prize 2015" (section Chamber Music). She will perform in concert on July 13 at the Cloister of Santa Chiara (Foggia) as part of the nineteenth edition of Music in the Courts of Capitana.

Il Duo Piccolo-Stoppiello debutta a Roma nell’aprile 2015, presso la Sala Accademica del “Pontificio Istituto di Musica Sacra”. Ha ottenuto il Primo Premio Assoluto al 6° Concorso “Eratai” di San Giovanni Rotondo ed al 4° Concordo Internazionale “garganum” di Vico del Gargano. É inoltre risultato tra i dieci gruppi da camera finalisti a Cagliari per il “Premio Abbado 2015″ (sezione Musica da camera). Si esibirà in concerto il prossimo 13 luglio presso il Chiostro di Santa Chiara (Foggia) nell’ambito della XIX edizione di Musica nelle Corti di Capitana.
