Tonight the Rolling Stones played their second and final show at the Desert Trip festival.
Fans were treated to a 20 song set, full of rarities and different songs from the show on October 7th.
On the day that Bob Dylan, who opened the show, was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature, both Mick and Keith paid tribute and congratulated their contemporary. Mick said, “I wanted to thank Bob Dylan for his amazing set. We have never shared a stage with a Nobel Prize winner. Bob is our very own Walt Whitman! Anyway, we just wanted to congratulate him, because it’s an incredible thing that he’s done… ”
Keith later added, “Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Firstly, I’ve gotta add to Mick’s thing for Mr Dylan, Nobel prix, I mean come on!…I can’t think of anyone else who deserves it better.”
The audience of 80,000 fans witnessed the first ever performance by the Stones of ‘Just Your Fool’, a track from their new album Blue And Lonesome, which is released on December 2nd.
The Rolling Stones are now heading to Sin City, Las Vegas, where they will play two shows at the T-Mobile Arena, on October the 19th and 22nd.
