Ok, I'll be honest, country was never my thing in a large way. Something about the twangy guitars and all-American attitude just never got me going. But I know enough about the genre to realize that today's country music doesn't hold a candle to the past greats. There's a generic, cookie-cutter feel that appears larger than life for all the wrong reasons. So while this is a very purist genre, this is one that needs shook up a bit, because as it stands...yikes.
