ABOUT BENEDETTA IARDELLA
Pianist Benedetta Iardella was born in Tuscany, Italy in 1995. She started playing the piano at the age of five, and was admitted to the Mascagni Conservatory in Livorno – where she studied with Maestro Daniele Rivera – at the age of ten. In 2009, she began her studies at the Puccini Conservatory in La Spezia, graduating with top marks in 2016.
Benedetta has taken part in masterclasses with Maestro Pietro De Maria, Roberto Cappello, Riccardo Risaliti, Giovanni Carmassi, Daniel Rivera, Stefano Fiuzzi, Giuseppe Bruno, Jin Ju and Sofya Gulyak. From a young age, she has won first prizes in several national and international competitions. In 2009, following her winning the “Young Performers” competition in Italy, she made her debut playing Haydn’s Piano Concerto in D Major with the Mussinelli Orchestra.
In 2020 Benedetta was awarded the First Prize at the “Grand Prize Virtuoso” international music competition, performing at the Wiener Saal in Salzburg. Presently, she is set to perform in Bonn, Germany and at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York.
As a recording artist, she has published several works by Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Bach and Beethoven. In 2020, her recordings of Beethoven’s Sonata Op. 2 No. 3 and “Tempest” Sonata Op. 31 No. 2 were featured on the 10-CD, special-edition box set “Beethoven Anniversary” released worldwide by Halidon Music. She is currently attending the renowned Imola International Academy, where she is studying with Maestro Stefano Fiuzzi.
