Famous American trumpet player, “Grammy” award winner Chris Botti, held a concert in Tbilisi together with Georgia’s National Philharmonic Orchestra and Nikoloz Rachveli. Along with his own compositions, the man of the hour performed several pieces by Georgian classical musicians, accompanying Nani Bregvadze and Paata Burchuladze as they sang.
His performance of “Kviteli Potlebi” (“Yellow Leaves”) by Gia Kancheli ended up being particularly emotional, earning thunderous applause from the audience.
The concert by Chris Botti and his associates took place at Tbilisi Concert Hall and was organized by “ArtPalace” company with support by “Iavnana” charity fund. Proceeds from the concert were used to provide a large family with their own apartment.
