Hey,

This is my second woodworking project. I made this box for my girlfriend. It took me about 4.5 months to make. The majority of the box is Padauk, the trim and some inlay is Wenge, the inlay includes Maple, Walnut, Alder, Bloodwood, and Ebony. The inside cover has a border made from super glue and brass shavings.

I want to give a special thanks to my uncle, the late Steve Durkee, for giving me some tips on a past project which have helped me on this one, and for being a great uncle. He was a great woodworker, and some of the wood from his shop was used in this box. He may live on through it.
