The last song from my new album is called Lost Angles. A lot of people call it Lost Angels, easily done! Writing this song was the first time I wrote something that was me pointing back directly at myself. When I sing the line "don't let fear control you" over and over in the middle, I'm saying it to myself. Cause I've definitely let fear control a good portion of my life, even though I get to do the thing in life I dreamt of doing when I was a kid, still fear hits me almost daily, I'm driven by it, I'm guided by it, I fight it as best I can. I wrote this to remind myself of certain things. When I started singing it during the tour, it took on a life for me that was different again. Suddenly I wasn't just singing it to myself, but to rooms full of people. And when I got to that repeated line in the middle, every night you could see the crowd react to it, like something building up as it went. It became so compelling to me, it made me dig into the song even further. So thank you for that. It's so simple an idea, but we need to tell ourselves these things so we don't forgot.
