As the winner of the 2015 Thelonious Monk Vocal Competition, singer and songwriter Jazzmeia Horn’s momentum has stopped for nothing, producing two full-length records and embedding herself into the A-list jazz touring circuit. Influences of her musical predecessors like vocalists Betty Carter and Sarah Vaughn can be heard in her scat-style singing and lyrical storytelling in her original songs.
