For a record company that was founded and is based in Genoa it is almost a must to have Paganini as a reference point. For Dynamic this was always so. Founded in Genoa in 1978, Dynamic made its first steps by recording the works, many of which then unknown, of whom many consider the greatest violinist of all times. Violin music, as one would say nowadays, was in its DNA, and the Paganini recordings were followed over the years by the works of musicians who tied their destinies to this instrument more than others: today Dynamic's catalogue includes the first and only complete recordings of two of the greatest violinist-composers of the past, Giuseppe Tartini and Giovanni Battista Viotti; as for Paganini, foreseeably in 2014 the company will accomplish the goal of having recorded his entire output. In addition to these authors, the Dynamic catalogue includes many famous composers of violin music, such as Locatelli, Nardini, Bazzini, Campagnoli, Ernst, Vieuxtemps, Lolli and Vivaldi. The present budget-price series will feature them all, in a survey of their most significant works and a journey through Europe under the banner of virtuosity.
