Arkin Allen aka Mercan Dede, or DJ Arkin Allen, born Arkın Ilicali is a Turkish musician who combines Sufi traditional music and electronica. A perfect symbiosis between Ottoman traditional and Western modern music. Filmed with his ensemble in newly opened "Borusan," a new arts venue in Istanbul, he interprets trance electro-eastern for 52 minutes with his band which includes an electroniquesun percussionist, a clarinetist, electric saz player, a kanun, cumbus, kemane player.
