NIna Virdee (Burmi) is a student of legendary maestros Dilshad Khan and Begum Parveen Sultana. Naturally gifted with a melodious and resonant voice, which extends across three octaves, Nina captures the exquisite yet vibrant and dynamic emotions of Indian classical music. Here she sings a Shingar Ras Raga Nand Kauns in Drut Bandish, a compositon by Pandit Chinmoy Lahiri, very first master of Begum Parveen Sultana. Accompanying on tabla is Indranil Mallick and on harmonium is Kaviraj Dhadyalla. The concert was held on 23 September 2012, Theater Oranjerie, Roermond, The Netherlands.
