2 note : Il video è dedicato al mio amico argentino Josè, (lontano dagli occhi ma non dal cuore) che ama questa canzone. Careless Whisper è un brano di successo, che ha raggiunto i primi posti nelle classifiche di tutto il mondo, per George Michael, nel 1984.
Questa canzone venne presentata come singolo del solo George Michael anche se a differenza di tutti gli altri singoli degli Wham! (precedenti e successivi), era stata scritta insieme ad Andrew Ridgeley, l'altra metà del gruppo. I due l'avevano scritta insieme tre anni prima, quando George lavorava come usciere in un cinema a Watford, in Inghilterra.
Nel tempo molti artisti incisero delle cover di questa canzone; tra i tanti risaltano Mina, Julio Iglesias, Gloria Gaynor, il sassofonista Kenny G, Dave Koz, Paul Mauriat, Richard Clayderman, Tamia, Ten Masked Men e per ultima la band hard rock Seether.
Mina la sceglie come brano d'apertura per il volume di cover di "Rane Supreme" (1987), album che vinse il premio della critica discografica come miglior disco nell'anno.
