Known for his introspective and poetic interpretations, Eric Lu brings a special intimacy to this masterpiece. The piece opens with a noble, chordal melody reminiscent of a minuet, evoking a sense of gentle nostalgia. This tranquility transforms in the middle "Trio" section, where rapid, rippling triplets in D-flat major create a cascading texture of sound before returning to the opening theme.
