Shiga Kogen - Japan's Largest Ski Resort with 21 ski areas. Nagano Winter Olympics was held here.
We travelled Free & Easy. Took a 60 mins bus ride from Yudanaka train station. Dropped off at Ichinose (Ichi no-say) Diamond Ski Area. Equipmental rental shop "Snow Can" has everything that we needed. This includes the hiring of our Lovely Ski Instructor.
It was pre-season, so we almost had the whole ski area to ourselves. The temperature was -10 degrees and most of our iPhones shutdown and refused to take pictures. Fortunately the GoPro worked though the batteries only lasted about 50% of the usual power.
