The song features Mick Jagger on lead vocals and guitar, Keith Richards on guitar, Charlie Watts on drums, Ronnie Wood on guitar, Bill Wyman on bass guitar, Chuck Leavell on keyboards, Matt Clifford on keyboards, Sarah Dash, Lisa Fischer and Bernard Fowler on background vocals, and Kick Horns on brass.

"Rock And A Hard Place" reached number 23 in the US Billboard charts.

The video was directed by Wayne Isham, who has also directed videos for Michael Jackson, Madonna, KISS, Britney Spears and Mötley Crüe.
