Magic Mozart, a celebration of Mozartian opera – Laurence Equilbey, Insula Orchestra

The production brings together favorite numbers from Mozart operas, six of today’s most stylish singers, and the brilliantly theatrical ‘new magic’ of the 14:20 company, which in 2019 collaborated with Equilbey on an innovative touring production of Weber’s opera Der Freischütz. The program is conceived around different forms of magic: black magic, white magic, and the magic of love, red magic.

The singers on the Magic Mozart album are sopranos Sandrine Piau and Jodie Devos, mezzo-soprano Lea Desandre, tenors Stanislas de Barbeyrac and Loïc Félix, and baritone Florian Sempey. Featured on the program are arias, duets, and trios from Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, Così fan tutte, Die Entführung aus dem Serail, and Die Zauberflöte.
