Join us in an online listening party for Soccer Mommy’s 'Sometimes, Forever.' WNXP editorial director Jewly Hight will host a conversation with singer-songwriter Sophie Allison at the Sonic Cathedral in Nashville, Tenn.
In 2015, Allison began uploading home-recorded songs to Bandcamp as Soccer Mommy. Since then, she has quickly ascended as an indie rocker adept at the sophisticated sonics and smart songwriting chops heard in shoegaze, country and pop music — all in service of writing hits made in her own image. And with an album produced by Oneohtrix Point Never’s Daniel Lopatin — the electronic musician best known for his collaborations with The Weeknd and FKA twigs — she’s making those dreams a reality.
