Fueled by the 130-member Royal Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra and Choir and his 5-piece band behind him, Elton closed his December 1, 2002 charity concert at the Royal Opera House with the first single from his 1973 album "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road". This marriage of rock and roll and full orchestration paid tribute to Elton’s years as a student at the RAM and raised monies for his Scholarship Fund at the Academy.
