Piotr Anderszewski has assembled 12 prelude-and-fugue pairings from J.S. Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier (Das Wohltemperierte Klavier) in an original sequence, bringing out new relationships and contrasts. Discover the album: https://w.lnk.to/awtLY

Piotr, who received a Gramophone Award in 2015 for his recording of Bach's English Suites, considers these "works that offer both the interpreter and the listener almost limitless scope for exploration." He thinks of the preludes and fugues as "character pieces. The idea behind playing these works in this specific order is to create a sense of drama that suggests a cycle: 12 characters conversing with one another, mirroring each other."
