This recording is the culmination of a 10-year project led by Vashegyi in collaboration with the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles, celebrating Rameau’s unparalleled musical genius. Les Boréades, composed in 1763, was never performed during Rameau’s lifetime, yet its themes of love and freedom resonate across the centuries. Les Boréades tells the story of Alphise, Queen of Bactria, who must navigate love and duty in a world of ancient tradition. This aria captures a moment of deep reflection, showcasing Rameau's genius for expressing emotion through music.

Filmed in 2023 in Budapest.
