Mozart continued to work until his death on December 5, 1791, leaving the Requiem unfinished. After Mozart's death, his student Süssmayr completed the Requiem, honoring Mozart's vision. Mozart’s Requiem remains a powerful and mysterious work, a final testament to his genius.
