Muhammed Farid Biography:
"My name is Farid and I am 21 years old. I was born and raised in my beloved country Malaysia. I got my early education in Malaysia, and In 2010, I got scholarship to pursue my studies in Morocco.
I was actively participated in co-curricular activities in my high school such as National Public Speaking and Debating. There, I've learnt to speak in public and gained my self confidence.
Furthermore, I am speaking well in three languages; Arabic, Malay, and English and knowledgeable in French.
Here in Morocco, I am working as The Honorary Secretary of Malaysian Student's Association in Morocco (PMMM).
Alhamdulillah, recently, I graduated from Hassan II University in Islamic Studies. (Jurisprudence and Origin)
Singing is my passion since I was a child. I like to sing and listen to the music from all over the world. However, I had no formal vocal/ musical training. Therefore, I like to experiment with different sounds of music and singing through my performances.
I am inspired by artists who are able to communicate and express their emotions through music and sing from the heart. That's what I'm hoping to do with my performances.
Awakening Talent Contest (ATC) is my first attempt to show my voice to the world. For me, this is the biggest platform to spread The Word of Allah and fulfill my responsibilities as a Muslim and a da'ie"


The Judging Committee members are Bara Kherigi (Awakening Co-Founder), Hamza Namira (Awakening Star), Maher Zain (Awakening Star), and Wassim Malak (Awakening Co-Founder).
The contest has received more than 1,000 videos (755 were approved) from 66 countries (from all the continents) and from all age ranges.
The prize for the first winner is signing record deal with Awakening Records, while second place will perform live on stage with one of Awakening's artists.
