Panguni Uthiram 2013 Singapore. (Part 1).Panguni Uthiram Festival was first celebrated at the Holy Tree Sri Balasubramaniar Temple in 1967 when it was located at Canberra Road in the then British Naval Base. The temple has since shifted to its present location at Yishun Industrial Park A and the Festival has carried on yearly. I grew up in Sembawang and have seen this procession since I was young.This Festival is less well known than Thaipusam, but to the devotees, it makes no difference. It's a Walk with GOD.As I walked towards the Panguni Uthiram assembly area at Canberra Lane in the morning, I was offerred curry puffs and hot tea by 2 wonderful ladies.
